Allison Brooks Janney, an American actress, was born in 1959. Her performances on screen and the stage have been highly praised throughout her long career. Janney is the recipient of many accolades. Janney won The Primetime Emmy Award for 2014 Outstanding Guest actress in an Drama Series, after her performance in the role of Margaret Scully on the Showtime series Masters of Sex. Janney received nominations several times in the Primetime Emmy Awards and twice received the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress Comedy Series.
